AND LEAD YOUR ORGANISATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA
MODULES
Module 1: 4 - 8 May 2009, Sabancı University, Istanbul - Turkey
Module 2: 29 June - 3 July 2009, INSEAD, Fontainebleau - France
The first module is held on the campus
of Sabancı University Executive Development Unit
(EDU). Taught by both Sabanci University and INSEAD
faculty, it will cover the key issues of marketing, finance,
strategy, operations management and organizational management
in the global context. This will help you to develop a comprehensive
understanding of international business and of the particular
challenges of internationalisation from the perspective
of a Turkish enterprise.
The second module, held on the Europe Campus of
INSEAD, will focus on issues of importance to new
entrants to the multinational scene: structuring multinational
enterprises, raising capital on international markets, developing
global brands, managing dispersed teams, etc. This module
brings together participants from the partner institutions,
creating an unique environment that enables you to experience
first hand the rewards and challenges of working and managing
in a global environment. You develop a global mindset through
experience in working in teams in a multicultural environment.
The second module also provides a powerful opportunity to
develop networks in emerging markets across four continents.
To serve as a bridge between the two modules and to facilitate
knowledge sharing, participants will work in groups to develop
a business plan to resolve an issue related to internationalisation.
The best project from each country will be presented during
the second module.
The teaching approach will be problem-focused and highly
interactive. Participants will learn through case discussions,
joint problem solving, as well as lectures based on the
pioneering business research initiated by our faculty. By
the end of the programme, participants will have the skills
and understanding necessary for leading their own organisations
in the global arena. This programme is valuable for senior
managers leading their firms in the challenge of a globally
competitive enterprise. This includes CEOs and other senior
managers from all functional areas, who will take on ever-increasing
responsibilities as their geographic scope expands. We are
looking for business leaders, current and future, who are
willing to learn and debate key issues and solutions with
world-class faculty and fellow participants from around
the globe. Participation of several managers from each company
is strongly encouraged. Once these managers return to their
company, now sharing a common knowledge base and an international
network of senior executives, they will be in a better position
to generate and implement new ideas that can truly make
a difference.
